Meet with your NJ Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development Counselor (visit our Application Information page for program dates and deadlines) and obtain the following documentation:
Employability Development Plan
Workforce NJ Certification/Referral
Copy of your One Stop Career Center ID
Contact the appropriate Admissions Office and submit an application for Pre-Qualification to Apply for the Unemployment Tuition Waiver Program along with all required application fees
File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
with the University for the 2009-2010 academic year
Wait for the Admissions decision letter.
If the decision letter verifies you are pre-qualified to apply for the
tuition waiver, then you will receive a detailed email message from the Program Coordinator, including log-in instructions to
complete the online Tuition Waiver for Unemployed Persons Student Application
Once the above steps are completed, come to Morehead Hall - Room 132 to drop off all a completed application for review.
Step Two - Application Review
A completed tuition waiver application includes the following:
Tuition Waiver for Unemployed Persons Student Application (submitted online)
Employability Development Plan
Workforce NJ Certification/Referral
Copy of your One Stop Career Center ID
The application will be reviewed and a decision rendered within 5-7 business days.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
All decision notifications will be issued via email.
