Message from MSUAA President, Summer 2009

Dear Alumni,

In the fall, the consulting firm Phoenix Philanthropy Group was hired to evaluate the current state of alumni programming and develop a strategic plan moving forward.  As a result of surveys, discussions and analysis of everything from communications to benefits and services, it was determined that a new organization is necessary for a more cohesive and productive unit to represent the needs of our graduates.

Thus, the mission of the Montclair State University Alumni Advisory Council will be to enhance the bond between Montclair State University and its alumni in ways that benefit the university and the opportunities it is able to offer to current and future students and in ways that benefit alumni as they progress in their lives after graduation.

The Council will act in an advisory capacity to foster and facilitate the University’s efforts to connect with alumni.

We encourage all alumni to support this new organization and the University by participating, volunteering and finding ways to stay connected to your alma mater.
