Gloria M. Barlow

Gloria M. Barlow was named chief  information officer for Wilkes University. She will be responsible for overseeing technology services for the University’s students, faculty and staff. Barlow joined the University in May. Prior to joining Wilkes, Barlow was executive director, information resources, for The Graduate Center of City University of New York. In that position, she provided technology leadership and delivery of technology services to 4,000 master’s and doctoral degree students, 1,600 faculty, 28 research centers and 300 administrators at multiple locations in the City University system. She was the recipient of the City University of New York Annual Ribaudo Award for Information Technology Innovation in 2006 for Innovation in Web-Enabled Student Administrative Services.

Barbara Boscaino Tamburro

Barbara Boscaino Tamburro is the recipient of the 2009-2010 American Association of University Women Short-Term Writing Fellowship. This scholarship will afford her the opportunity to complete the book, An Annotated Bibliography of String Orchestra Literature. In 2008 Tamburro received the Oxbridge Teaching Fellowship at the University of Cambridge (Wescott House) where she studied post-World War I British Modernism. In addition to her fellowship award, Tamburro was invited to conduct the 2009 All-State Intermediate Orchestra.
