MSU Mascot: Rocky the Red Hawk

In 1989, Montclair State changed its nickname from the Indians to the Red Hawks. (For more on the history of Montclair State’s nicknames and logo, click here.) Shortly thereafter, “Rocky the Red Hawk” became the official mascot, boosting spirits at athletics events. Today, Rocky can be found at games, campus festivities and even Commencement!
