The Montclair State University Art Gallery is delighted to announce its name change to the George Segal Gallery, and welcomes visitors to a wonderful new state of the art facility. The new gallery boasts 7200 square feet of exhibition, activity and work space.  Conveniently located adjacent to the Alexander Kasser Theatre complex, the George Segal Gallery is a welcome addition to the Montclair State University campus.

George Segal is a world-renowned American artist, and the George Segal Gallery at MSU is proud to carry his name. Segal's famous work Street Crossing is now part of the University collection, thanks to the George and Helen Segal Foundation, and is permanently installed in the Alexander Kasser Plaza. "Essence in a Glimpse: Thoughts on the Art of George Segal"; is an exhibit featuring reliefs, paintings and pastels by the artist, and is on display in the gallery through 2008. Along with the exhibits of the gallery's namesake, the George Segal Gallery hosts a number of changing exhibitions from local, regional, national and international artists.
