The MFA Gallery is a venue dedicated to the exhibition of works produced by students pursuing the university's Master of Fine Arts program. The gallery provides MFA candidates a space for exhibiting and photographing their work as well as a professional forum for critical discourse and feedback. Self-managed and curated, the gallery additionally offers MFA candidates frontline experience in exhibition installation as well as the opportunity to enhance their personal show resumes. The MFA Gallery is just one example of MSU's commitment to providing the best possible facilities for its growing arts programs.

Gallery Hours

Located in Finley Hall on the Montclair State University campus, the MFA Gallery is open to the MSU community and general public five days a week. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm; or by appointment. To schedule an appointment outside of gallery hours, please contact Louise Davies, MFA Program Assistant, at 973.655.4074.

Travel Directions and Parking

Visitors to the MFA Gallery may park in the Red Hawk Parking Deck, adjacent to the Kasser Theater on campus. Click here for Travel Directions to MSU.

Exhibition Season

Exhibits displayed in the MFA Gallery are held to the highest professional standards and reflect issues being examined and explored by the mainstream contemporary art world. Many of our MFA candidates are working artists who are encouraged to exhibit outside of MSU, an essential component in creating a rich and dynamic environment for the development of compelling contemporary art.
