Tobias Putrih: Sculptor.
Slovenian artist Tobias Putrih makes sculptural objects and environments that draw on his interest in modernist sculpture, architecture and rigorous historical research. Often inspired by cultural institutions and public spaces such as cinemas and theatres, Putrih’s work is intricately and elegantly created from commonplace materials such as cardboard, tape and plywood. In addition to the large-scale constructions, the artist produces models that act as both sculpture and as proposals for structures that will never be built.
