BROWN NAMED NJAC TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Montclair, NJ (4/22/08) – Freshman Will Brown (Gloucester, NJ / Palmyra) earned his second outdoor honor from the New Jersey Athletic Conference on Monday as he was named the Men's Track Rookie of the Week. Brown was selected as the Track Athlete of the Week back on April 7.
A Week 3 NJAC Track Athlete of the Week selection, Brown earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track &
Field Rookie of the Week honors after traveling to Center Valley, PA to compete at the Collegiate
Track Conference Championships hosted by DeSales University. He placed first in a field of 29
competitors in the 110 meter hurdles with a winning NCAA provisional time of 14.82. He also placed
first in a field of 30 competitors in the 400 meter hurdles with a winning ECAC qualifying time of
55.74. Brown’s performances helped propel the Red Hawks to a fifth place finish in the 18-team
championship. |
