BLAINE NAMED SKYLINE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Montclair, NJ (5/6/08) – Senior forward Bethany Blaine (Moorestown, NJ / Moorestown), who was named the Skyline Player of the Year on Monday, received one more accolade from the league on Tuesday as she was named the conference's Player of the Week. Blaine becomes the third different Red Hawk to win the award this season.

Blaine was selected as the Most Valuable Player in the Skyline Conference women’s lacrosse championship after recording eight goals, two assists, nine ground balls and nine draw controls in the Red Hawks’ two tournament victories.

In the championship game, Blaine scored three consecutive goals in the first half as Montclair State extended 3-1 lead to a 6-1 lead. She also added a team-leading four ground balls along with five draw controls.
