"What Happened to the Street?"
Faculty of MSU and Montclair High School coordinated a documentary project during the spring of 2002. Students of the high school's Center for Social Justice (CSJ) interviewed family members, local business owners and leaders to explore their experiences as long-term residents in the Pine Street and Glenfield Park neighborhoods and the impact the Montclair Connection train line has had on the community perceptions of what the future holds. A reception recognizing the stories uncovered and the ethnographic talents of the students was held on June 14th in the Montclair Public Library.
