Web Directories Example

Yahoo

Yahoo began as a directory of web sites, and while it has maintained its directory, it has competed with Google as a search engine for the past few years. You can see that it provides a much wider scope then the Librarians Internet Index, but it does not provide any information about the sites that are listed, only a link to them.
