The New Children's Center Opening Celebrations

A public unveiling of the magnificent new Children's Center will take place on September 20. This event will reinforce Montclair State's role as a leader in education and provide high visibility for the Children's Center and the University. Honored guests will include First Lady Mary Jo Codey (tentative); the mayor, town manager and council of Little Falls, Clifton andMontclair; the Superintendents of Clifton, Little Falls and Montclair Schools; a representative of the New Jersey Commissioner of Education; members of the State Interagency Council for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities; Lucille Davy, the Governor's Education Policy Advisor; representatives from the the Community Advisory Board, the Alumni Association Board, the MSU Foundation Board and Board of Trustees; and members of the University community.

On September 29, Montclair State will host an invitation-only donor preview of the new Children's Center for donors, parents of children at the Center, and University administrators, celebrating the completion and the public opening of this historic project. The event will consist of private, guided tours of the building, light refreshments, and comments by key donors (including Arlyn Cypen and Rich Pzena) and University administration (including President Susan A. Cole, Dean Ada Beth Cutler of the College of Education and Human Services, and Toni Spiotta and Janey DeLuca, co-directors of the Children's Center).
