Anne DeMuth ’77 M.A. and Michele Neff ’86 (far left),
both of Charleston.
In November 2004, Professor Michael Kogan hosted a luncheon with President Cole and South Carolina MSU alumni at the Harbour Club in Charleston, SC. Dr. Kogan is chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at MSU and a longtime summer resident of Charleston. The gathering was an opportunity for Dr. Cole to reach out to the MSU community in South Carolina and to update them on the many recent changes on campus.
The events were part of a planned coast-to-coast series of events designed to keep Montclair State's alumni in touch with each other and with their alma mater. "Montclair State's alumni are witnesses and representatives of the University's heritage and values, and through the Campaign for the Second Century will help to shape the future of the institution," says Dr. Haynes. "It is important to draw the members of the MSU family together to discuss the University and its needs and future as we approach our centennial celebration."
Future gatherings for MSU alumni and friends will take place throughout New Jersey as well as in California, Florida, New York City, Philadelphia, South Carolina and Washington, D.C.
