Montclair State Establishes New Jersey's First University-Based School of Music

Montclair, N.J., July 20, 2006 – The Montclair State University (www.montclair.edu) Board of Trustees today approved the establishment of the John J. Cali School of Music, the first School of Music at a New Jersey university. The Board also elevated the former School of the Arts to the College of the Arts in recognition of the significant growth in the reputation, enrollment, faculty, and facilities of the University’s programs in the arts.
