Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world - indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

What is Service-Learning at MSU?
Service-Learning is a way of learning that integrates service to the community with academic course work. Students enrolled in Service-Learning courses participate in a community-based project that addresses an identified community priority. Service projects are developed by the University in collaboration with community partners.
By contributing to the community, students will learn about cultures and age groups not their own and will have the opportunity to enrich the way they see the world.
What are community partners?
Partners are community agencies and schools that have agreed to host our students on a continuing basis. Partner sites are located largely in the town of Montclair, NJ and surrounding communities. (Click here to see a list of current partners.)
How can students identify Service-Learning courses on the WESS system?
Service-Learning courses can be identified by a standard note: "Serv-lrng, wkly cmty serv in partner agencies req." or "Professional Liability Insurance Coverage."
Why should you enroll in a Service-Learning course?
