How should I start?
- Register with Career Directions, our web based job listing service, to see many of the part-time and summer jobs, as well as internships, that are listed with the office. (If you have already registered with Career Directions, click here).
- Come to the Center and look in our part-time job books. (Not all positions are listed on the web.) New positions off-campus are listed everyday.

Special Interest Internships
- Baseball Hall of Fame - a unique opportunity for a summer internship in any of 12 areas: accounting, curatorial and collections, development, education and visitor programs, membership, multi-media, photos, public relations, research-library, recorded media, retail, and technical services
- The Dell Thurmond Woodard Fellowship, which includes one $5,000 grant for one student each year, is part of the Tisdale Fellowship program, a summer internship available to undergraduate and graduate students. Any student, undergraduate or graduate, who is interested in diversity and ethics issues, and in learning about high-tech public policy issues, can apply for this Fellowship.
- Disney Professional Internships-all majors are welcome to gain valuable work experience with this world renowned entertainment company.
Decisions about spring internships with Disney are made by October so apply online asap!
- Fall Koch Internship Program: an opportunity to not only work for a think tank or public policy organization in Washington, DC, but also receive valuable professional education and hands-on experience. Designed for students and recent graduates who are passionate about economic freedom, the program offers a chance to develop your knowledge and skills, while building a valuable professional network and understanding of non-profit career paths.
- The Washington Center - a wonderful opportunity to get experience in government in such areas as health and human services, science, education, the arts, politics and public administration.

- Metropolitan Museum of Art - internship opportunities for college and graduate students interested in careers in art museums. Based upon their academic training and interests, as well as the availability of projects, interns work in one of the Metropolitan's departments—curatorial, education, conservation, administration, or library. Most projects require a strong knowledge of art history. Applicants of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- International Affairs - U. S. Embassy Summer Jobs! Spend a summer working in a U.S. Embassy in one of 90 locations throughout the world! The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service's International Internship Program is a PAID internship program and is in need of applicants!
- Museum of Jewish Heritage - a number of different internships are available. The Lipper Internship is a semester-long, paid museum education internship for graduate and undergraduate students that connects interns to local schools in order to teach about the Holocaust and Jewish heritage. The program begins with two weeks of training in New York City. Back in their college communities, interns share their knowledge by teaching public middle and high school students about the Holocaust.
- Summer research opportunity for computer science majors at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
- Student Conservation Association- expense paid internships in natural resources and historic sites.
- Presidential Management Fellows Program- designed for graduate students interested in "...leadership development programs at the entry level for advanced degree candidates."
- Rockefeller Archive Center Summer Internship Program - "designed for undergraduates with varied academic interests, but should be especially attractive to those studying history and such related fields as the social sciences, international relations, public policy, or art history. The Summer Program will provide participants with the opportunity to work with archivists and to learn about archival practices and potential careers in that profession; some students will work with the research and education staff and assist in a number of projects, conferences, and educational programs...." The internships are full-time (35 hours per week) with a stipend of $4,000 for a ten-week period commencing Monday, June 11 and ending Friday, August 17, 2012.
