Medium Tech Solutions

Medium Tech Solutions are those practices which integrate classically augmented teaching methods and more pervasive methods such as online discussion groups and real time online chat. In medium tech practice, faculty engage students by creating a classroom culture which causes students to expose their learning processes and to begin to take control of the process. Indicators of engaged learning are that students take responsibility for the learning process. Faculty set learning goals and students negotiate the goals and revise the means by which they attain those goals. Students, with the aid of faculty, choose from among available resources and explore their success and failure at various tasks.
