Satisfactory Academic Progress Regulations

All undergraduate financial aid recipients are subject to a Satisfactory Academic Progress evaluation at the end of each academic year. That evaluation will determine eligibility for financial aid in the next academic year. If a student is determined to be ineligible, he or she will receive notification via e-mail and will have the opportunity to appeal the decision. Below are the requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress. Students must meet standards I, II and III in order to maintain eligibility for financial aid:

  1. You are in good academic standing if your cumulative grade point average is 2.0 or better
  2. You are making Satisfactory Academic Progress if you earned 67% of your total attempted hours
  3. You are in good academic standing if your attempted hours do not exceed 180.

Additional notes:

  • Please note that a withdrawal from course(s) after the 100% refund period may have an adverse impact on a student's ability to meet the standards, since those courses (WD's) will not be added to the earned credit count.

  • These regulations include all State and federal financial aid programs, including Federal Work-Study, Federal Family Education Loans and alternative loan programs.
