IV. Concentration and Electives (9-12 semester hours)

All students select at least 12 sh from MBA advanced elective courses. A concentration in Accounting consists of 9-12 sh of electives (3-4 courses) chosen from the list below. Students with a double concentration take at least 9 sh in each area, or 6 elective courses, completing up to 54 sh in total.

To be eligible to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, students must have a baccalaureate degree with at least 60 semester hours of liberal arts courses and the following semester hours of undergraduate and/or graduate credit:

24 semester hours of Accounting,
6 semester hours of Business Law,
6 semester hours of Economics,
6 semester hours of Finance, and
18 semester hours of related business courses

V. Capstone Course (3 semester hours)

MGMT 580, Advanced Strategic Management, 3 credits

Students must complete all Basic courses (I & II) and a minimum of12semester hours of Advanced courses (III & IV) before enrolling in the capstone course.

Total Credits: 33-54, depending on advanced standing, and choice of double concentration(s)
