Member, Teacher Education Committee for the Kinesiology Department at Towson University

The primary goals of the committee is to redesign the Teacher Education Curriculum with specific emphasis on, (a) implementing a new games classification system in order to conceptualize the activity courses, (b) implement a more comprehensive tactical and skill oriented learning experience in the physical education teacher education program, 2000-2001.

Member, of a Maryland Statewide Committee for the Design of Professional Development Schools in the Physical Education Area

The primary goals of the committee are to (a) discover the possibility of implementing a representative model of a modern and effective physical education program in already functioning Professional Development Schools in the state of Maryland, (b) obtain funding for the design of Professional Development Programs, (c) sponsor Teacher Education workshops, and (d) discuss present policy and modify if deemed necessary, 2000-2001.

The primary goals of the committee are to (a) revise the Teacher Education Handbook, (b) set clear guidelines for admission and retention in the Teacher Education program, (c) sponsor Teacher Education workshops, and (d) discuss present policy and modify if deemed necessary, 1998-2000

Member, Strategic Planning Committee for the Department of Health Profession, Physical Education, Recreation and Leisure Studies at Montclair State University

The committee is responsible for developing the strategic planning process. This planning process involves defining the department’s mission statement. The committee also identifies internal and external factors that potentially contribute to the realization of the mission statement. The final presentation of the committee's work is in the format of a written document submitted to the College of Education and Human Services, 1998-2000.

Member, Panzer Honor Convocation Committee for the Department of HeaIth Profession, Physical Education, Recreation and Leisure Studies at Montclair State University

The primary responsibilities of the committee are to (a) redesign database, (b) review award criteria, (c) comply with NCAA guidelines for athletic awards, and (d) establish awards for MAT students, I998-2000

Member, General Physical Education Advisory Board for the Physical Education Teacher Education Program at the University of Massachusetts

The GPE Advisory Board consists of volunteer GPE instructors, a teaching assistant representative and the faculty coordinator of teacher/staff development. The primary purposes of the board are to (a) provide the GPE instructors with a forum to share their concerns, issues, and/or problems, and (b) provide GPE instructors with the opportunity to suggest ideas which will assure ongoing student guidance in the restructuring efforts in the GPE program, I994-97.
