Responsible for coordinating two externally funded
projects; (1) an extensive documentation/evaluation process of the teacher
education initiatives currently underway at the university with our
involvement in projects with the National Center for Educational Renewal and
the National Education Association (2) a Dodge Foundation grant intended to
facilitate professional development of K-12 teachers through the use of
action research and peer coaching. Also responsible for facilitating
curriculum actions by acting as liaison between academic departments and
Dean of Education. Teaching responsibilities within the Department teacher
education program include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses
related to curriculum and teaching in physical education. Also responsible
for supervising student teachers (2-3 each semester).
