-The application deadline for the spring 2002 Global Education Grants is Thursday, March 28 at 4:30 p.m. Applications must be received by the Global Education Center at 22 Normal Ave. by that time. The award competition focuses on funding for faculty and staff who have been invited to give papers at international conferences. Travel should take place in the summer or fall of 2002. The maximum grant for the spring competition is $800. Click here for grant guidelines, instructions and application forms. -The New Jersey Presidents Council has approved the University's bachelor of science program in athletic training. Montclair State is the first college/university in the state to offer an athletic training degree program. It is expected to begin in the fall. - The name of the Department of Fine Arts has been changed to the Department of Art and Design. -The University Bookstore will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 26, for inventory. The store will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 27th. - The Newman Catholic Center is sponsoring a Lenten Retreat for Busy People, to be held Feb. 24-28, beginning with the 6:30 p.m. Mass on Feb. 24. The at-home retreat is open to students, faculty, administrators and staff. For more information, call 7240 or 973-746-2323. The Newman Catholic Center and Meeting Emergency Needs With Dignity (MEND) thank the campus community for the 475 pounds of food that was donated in November and distributed to MEND's inter-faith network of food pantries. -The 2001-02 Montclair State University
Fact Book is now on line. The book is produced by the Office
of Institutional Research. -A memorial service for Sandy Radner of English, who passed away Nov.
1, will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Dickson Hall, Room
178. Colleagues and friends are welcome to attend and share stories about
Radner and his contributions to Montclair State. For more information,

B.A. certificates, bachelor's or master's degrees by August 2002, must
complete an application for final audit in the Office of the Registrar
