John Wooten, artistic director of TheatreFest and an award-winning playwright, led a playwriting workshop with area eighth-grade students and their teachers. The workshop, held in the L. Howard Fox Studio Theatre, taught students the fundamentals of playwriting, focusing on the concepts of individuality and tolerance. The event is part of a series of events held in conjunction with the production of "The Laramie Project," which can be seen at 8 p.m. Feb. 27 through March 1 and 1 p.m. Feb. 28 in the Fox Theatre.

String theorist Brian Greene to present Sokol Science Lecture
