George Antoniou of Computer Science had a paper, "Minimal State Space Realization for All-Pole and All-zero Discrete 2D Filters," published in the International Journal of Systems Science, Vol. 33, No. 10.

Naomi Liebler of English recently discussed patriotism and dissent, democracy and dictatorship, and the role of ritual in civic life in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" at B'nai Keshet in Montclair.

Deena Linett of English gave a reading last month at the Cranbury Public Library. Author of two novels, On Common Ground and The Translator's Wife, Linett also is a published poetry. Her first volume of poems is titled Rare Earths and her work also has appeared in many literary magazines.

Mary Lou West of Mathematical Sciences presented an "Astronomy Update" at a meeting of the North Jersey Astronomical Group. West presented the latest news from the American Astronomical Society's recent meeting in Washington.
