-Montclair State is participating in the UCLA Higher Education Research
Institute's national 2001 Faculty Survey. The survey was mailed to all
full-time faculty who taught this fall. Faculty who did not respond and
received a follow-up survey are asked to complete and return the survey
using the self-addressed envelope provided. -The Women of Montclair State University will award three $500 student scholarships at its spring reception April 30. The deadline to submit the scholarship application is Friday, March 22. For more information, call Patricia Sanders at 973-655-7144. -The Montclair State swim teams are sponsoring swimming lessons for children ages 4 through 12. Lessons will be offered Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. or Fridays, 3:30-4:15 p.m. or 4:30-5:15 p.m. The weekly six-session lessons begin the week of April 8 and end the week of May 13. Cost is $75; $65 for faculty/staff. All lessons are taught by varsity swimmers as a team fund-raiser. For more information, call Head Swim Coach Brian McLaughlin at 5242. -The application deadline for spring 2002 Global Education Grants is Thursday, March 28. Applications must be received by the Global Education Center at 22 Normal Ave. by 4:30 p.m. The award competition focuses on funding for faculty and staff who have been invited to give papers at international conferences. Travel should take place in the summer or fall of 2002. The maximum grant for the spring competition is $800.
