The University Senate will hold an open hearing on the two-day scheduling pattern on Wednesday, March 31, at 1 p.m. in the Student Center, Room 419. It will be followed at 3 p.m. by a University Senate meeting, of which a portion will be dedicated to further discussion of the scheduling pattern. Do you know someone who has made a positive change in his/her personal wellness? Nominate a colleague or student for the MSU Golden Apple Award. Nominees can include individuals who have begun a fitness routine, quit smoking or have made some positive change that has affected their overall health. The nominee also may be someone who is a healthy role model. Nominations are due Monday, April 5, and winners will be recognized at the annual Wellness Day on Tuesday, April 13. Call Wellness Education at 973-655-7397 for a nomination form. Each year, American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Local 1904 offers several scholarships to full-time MSU students. The James P. Keenen III, Joseph T. Moore, Anita E. Uhia and Connie Waller Scholarship Endowment Fund is named after founders and leaders of the local. Six $500 scholarships will be awarded this year. The application deadline is April 8. Winners will be announced May 21. Application packets can be downloaded from the Local 1904 Web site. Ars Vitalis, an arts initiative at Kean University that showcases the works of prominent New Jersey area composers, will feature excerpts from the opera "Elmer Gantry," written by Robert Aldridge of Music. The free concert will take place March 31 at the Wilkins Theatre for the Performing Arts at Kean University at 8 p.m. For more information, call Wilkins Theatre Box Office at 908-737-4355. The Meal Plan Equivalency is back at the Red Hawk Diner. One swipe per person is allowed between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. daily. Gratuity is not included. Click here for more information about the diner. The Couch Agency is offering an insurance plan to MSU employees
in the event of a disability. The underwriting company, UnumProvident,
will accept applications from employees of the University who are under
the age of 60. For those under the age of 50, the current maximum income
benefit is $3,000 per month. For those between the ages of 50 and 60,
the current maximum income benefit is $2,000 per month. The program is
voluntary and premiums can be paid for through payroll deductions. For

Results of all parking citation challenges are now being sent by e-mail to the person's mail.montclair.edu address in an effort to reduce the response time. Sprague Library now offers a Graduate Student Research Assistance
Service designed for graduate students who are having difficulty finding
materials for a research project or would like to find additional materials.
It allows a graduate student to request a one-on-one meeting with a reference
librarian who can help the student identify the most appropriate resources
and services for the research project and discuss research strategies.
