MSU's World's Fair will take place Thursday, April 28 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Student Center quad and feature food and entertainment. Departments who wish to particpate can register a table to prepare and share food from a country and/or culture of choice; dress in attire representing a country and/or culture; display information and/or goods that represent a country and/or culture; or exhibit interactive displays with an international, cross-cultural or mulitcultural theme. The survey can be accessed via your NetID through Friday, April 23. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and all responses will be kept confidential. The survey results will be used to identify areas that are functioning well and to also determine those areas where improvements are needed.

Commencement will take place Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at the Continental Airlines Arena, in East Rutherford. Individual College and School convocations will take place at the amphitheater, weather permitting:

Participation in the individual convocations and the campus-wide commencement exercises is encouraged. Faculty members can march in an academic procession, serve as faculty marshals or volunteer to assist our graduates and their families at a ceremony. Academic regalia is provided to faculty members at the University's expense. Faculty marshals are required to wear academic regalia. Those who order regalia may pick them up at the University Bookstore during regular store hours Thursday, May 5, through Friday, May 13. Regalia will be available again from noon to closing Monday, May 16, through Thursday, May 19. Your signature will be required at the time of pick-up and return.

The FRS (Financial Records System) training manual is now available on the Division of Finance and Treasury - FRS Documents Web site. The manual has been updated to reflect current screens and log-in procedures. The manual is in PDF format and includes bookmarks to assist navigating through the document. The manual will no longer be printed. The Web site also includes links to FRS Frequently Asked Questions and documents used to request user access and new accounts in FRS. The NJ Jackals released its 2005 baseball schedule, beginnng its eighth season with a game hosted by the Bangor Lumberjacks in Maine. The team's first home game at Yogi Berra Stadium will be June 2, also against the Lumberjacks. The Jackals will play 92 games this season. For more information, go to www.jackals.com.
