-Long-term care insurance will be available to active and retired employees, and certain family members on July 1 through Prudential Insurance Company of America. Informational sessions about long-term care insurance will be held April 22 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in Dickson Hall, Room 178.
-The president's annual spring meeting with employees will be held Wednesday, April 24, at 4 p.m. in the Student Center Ballrooms followed by a reception.
-The Center of Pedagogy will hold a Spring Faculty Development Series from May 13 through 16. The topics include technology with Elliot Soloway of the University of Michigan, College of Engineering, on May 13; performance-based assessment with Jackie Jones, senior research scientist, Educational Testing Service, on May 14; culturally responsive teaching with Ofelia Garcia, dean, Long Island University School of Education, on May 15; and inclusion, with a speaker to be announced, on May 16. All sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be an opportunity to learn more about these topics during two-day workshops the week of June 10. -The 2002 Commencement will be held Friday, May 24, at the Continental Airlines Arena. Ordered regalia can be picked up at the Bookstore from May 20 through May 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at the Arena on May 24. A signature is required at the time of pick-up and return.
