- The Office of Public Information is looking to gather the names of employees receiving degrees this year from Montclair State. If you are among this year's graduates, please call Diana St. Lifer at 4334 or e-mail stliferd@mail.montclair.edu. - The 2002 M.F.A. Thesis Exhibit can be seen through May 29 at White Box-The Annex located at 601 West 26th Street, 14th floor, New York. Curated by Dominique Nahas, visiting critic-in-residence, the exhibit can be seen from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information about the exhibit, click here. - The University's annual steam shut-down will continue through May 24. There will be no hot water in campus buildings and no air-conditioning in Partridge, Richardson, Science Hall, the Student Center, Dickson, Russ and Bohn. Buildings south of Normal Avenue and on Clove Road will not be affected. For more information, call Physical Plant at 5217. - The Center of Pedagogy will hold a Spring Faculty Development Series from May 13 through 16. The topics include technology with Elliot Soloway of the University of Michigan College of Engineering on May 13; performance-based assessment with Jackie Jones, senior research scientist, Educational Testing Service, on May 14; culturally responsive teaching with Ofelia Garcia, dean, Long Island University School of Education, on May 15; and inclusion, with a speaker to be announced, on May 16. All sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be an opportunity to learn more about these topics during two-day workshops the week of June 10. For more information, call Brenda Sheehan at 973-655-7332. - Commencement will be held Friday, May 24, at the Continental Airlines Arena. A picnic at the Student Center will follow the ceremony. Ordered regalia can be picked up at the Bookstore from May 20 through May 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or at the Arena on May 24. A signature is required at the time of pick-up and return.
