Alumni Association President Wayne DeFeo '80 '82 M.A. welcomes the graduates to the Montclair State alumni family:

I can now say to you: Greetings fellow alumni. Congratulations! I will make a guess that all of you are happy today.

Tomorrow, you enter this place that we call the "real world." Some of you are entering to waiting jobs. Some will be looking for jobs. Some will take time to recover from four hard years of partying...I mean studying.

Whatever path you are embarking on, remember Alice's advice from the Cheshire Cat: Whichever way that you go, you will be someplace.

There are two key questions that really matter:
What will you do along the journey?
What will you do when you get to where you want to be?

I hope you will enjoy the journey. I also hope you remember that along your journey to someplace, there are many people who helped you get there.

As you have been offered help, you should remember that you have an obligation to help others. You will be in positions where you will see other MSU alumni, others of this new extended family of yours. Remember to offer your help. Make being a part of the MSU family a grand experience.
