Alumni Association greets
Montclair State's newest alumni

Margaret Hait, '70 '76 M.A., immediate past president of the Alumni Association, greeted the more than 2,500 graduates who have now joined the ranks of Montclair State alumni:

Greetings and congratulations on behalf of the Montclair State University Alumni Association. You have great reason to rejoice and to feel extremely proud of your accomplishments. Today you become part of the great tradition that is Montclair State University.

You will now join those who have come before you and who have taken their place in the world of work. May you use your knowledge and experiences to be of service to your community, your state and your country.

In the words of May Angelou, "We must pledge to bind ourselves to one another, to embrace our lowliest, to keep company with our lonliest, to educate our illiterate, to feed our starving, to clothe our ragged, to do all good things, knowing that we are more than keepers of our brothers and sisters. We are our brothers and sisters."

Best wishes for a successful future, and I hope you will find time to stay connected to this wonderful extended family -- Montclair.
