Hope
and Remembrance: University plans events commemorating Sept. 11
It's been one year since
the deadliest attack on United States soil. And while American flags
are showing signs of wear and fading, the emotions raised by that
day of terror remain as strong as in the hours and days that followed.
No person, family or community was left untouched by the horrific
events. At Montclair State, the campus community will join the townships
of Montclair and Little Falls for a day of reflection, focusing
on a theme of hope and remembrance. (Full

They've been workin' on the railroad
The idea has been working for six years
getting
from New Jersey to New York via train without having to transfer
in Hoboken or Newark. Now MidTOWN Direct, previously available from
Morris County, will be available right from campus. The Montclair-Boonton
service is scheduled to begin this month from the Montclair Heights
station, taking residents from Essex and Passaic counties for a
direct ride into New York's Penn Station. The icing on the cake,
however, will come in 2004 when work is complete on a nearby 1,500-space
parking garage and pedestrian overpass that will connect the deck
to the station. (Full Story and Photos)
