Judy Minier, associate vice president
for Academic Affairs for Curriculum and Instruction
Judy is a familiar face on campus. In 1995 she
was appointed the University's first director of the Center of Pedagogy.
She left in 1997 to travel with her husband to Asia where she gained
experience as language arts curriculum coordinator at the Jakarta
International Schools in Indonesia, professor and assistant to the
vice president for academic affairs at the American University in
Kyrgyzstan and educational consultant to the Center for Democratic
Education in Kazakhstan. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in elementary
education from St. Cloud State University, and an Ed.D. from the
University of North Dakota.
In some respects, Judy feels like she never left.
"A lot of the policies, procedures and the mechanisms for working
things through committees, and the basic structure of offices are
similar to when I left. Because of that, I don't feel as though
I've been gone so long." Read more about her in this week's
Q&A.
