It included Howard Travis, Christopher "Doc" Stasheff, Lawrence Londino and John Diglio. "It's important to acknowledge the significant contributions of our faculty," said Patricia Piroh, a Broadcasting producer/director. "During the time they spearheaded the program, Doc, Howard and Larry all created an atmosphere in which students can learn and thrive." Broadcasting graduates hold positions in every media company in Manhattan, from NBC and FOX News to Z100 Radio and Thirteen. "The Department of Broadcasting has trained and educated some of the top broadcasters in the business," Piroh said. "Our students graduate with significant experience, and that was as true in 1974 as it is today." Alumna Janet Polsky, a writer and producer for CBS Radio/Westwood One,
said the professors in the Department play a significant role in the students'
success. "They gave us the skills, knowledge and confidence we needed
to make it in a tough, competitive business," she said. Future lawyers flock to Law School Admissions Day Each year, more than 50 law schools participate in the event. Students will have an opportunity to speak with representatives from the various schools, obtain information and applications, receive L.S.A.T. information and hear panel discussions about the law school admission process and nontraditional legal careers.
