University Launches Employee Fundraising Campaign with Chances to Win Prizes

Montclair State is embarking on its first ever employee fundraising campaign as part of the University’s $50 million Campaign for The Second Century. Employees of the University will be asked to participate in the Campaign by making a contribution in support of Montclair State’s students. The goal is 100-percent employee participation.

Pledge forms were mailed to all employees' homes and on Friday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. pledges and staff volunteers at tables located in College Hall, Dickson Hall and the Student Center will accept gifts. All employees who make a gift to the University by 11 a.m. will be entered into the grand prize drawing for one month of free parking in the Red Hawk Deck.

In addition to the grand prize, there will be many other chances for employees to win a prize from the following, donated by friends, alumni and local businesses:

Updates on additional prizes will be sent via e-mail to employees. Contributions must be received by 1 p.m. to qualify for the drawings. MSU’s "prize patrol" will visit winners later in the day.

Donations may be made to where the need is greatest: scholarships, programs, Colleges and Schools. Naming opportunities include, for example, $500 to name a seat in the Alexander Kasser Theater or $100 to pay tribute to a teacher on the Educators Wall of Honor in the soon-to-be-opened University Hall, future home of the College of Education and Human Services. Employees may contribute using checks, credit cards, pledges, installment plans and payroll deductions. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.
