Women's soccer takes NJAC regular
season title
They played 110 minutes of soccer at Sprague Field on Halloween,
but in the end there was no winner as Montclair State, ranked 20th in
Division III, and Richard Stockton played to a scoreless tie in New Jersey
Athletic Conference (NJAC) women's soccer action. Despite the tie, the
Red Hawks (12-4-1) captured their first NJAC regular season championship
and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament, which begins

Three teams make marks in Division
III polls
For the third consecutive week, the Montclair State men's soccer
and field hockey teams held firm to their respective rankings in the National
Collegiate Athletic Association Division III polls. The men's soccer team
is ranked eighth in the National Soccer Collegiate Athletic Association
(NSCAA) poll while the field hockey squad is still 10th in the STX/National
Field Hockey Collegiate Association ranking. Also, the women's soccer
team is ranked fourth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings.

Four earn weekly honors from NJAC
Four Montclair State athletes earned weekly honors from the New
Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) on Oct. 27 as junior running back Eugene
Vick was named the NJAC Football Offensive Player of the Week. Senior
back Ryan Guterl was chosen as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week in
men's soccer and senior midfielder Megan Ulicny was named NJAC Field Hockey
Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week and fourth time
this season. Junior defender Shirah Odeh was named NJAC Women's Soccer
Defensive Player of the Week.
