SCORE, a statewide business counseling service, provides free counseling for new and existing businesses at 35 offices statewide. For more than 36 years, SCORE’s 11,500 retired and working business professionals have volunteered to help a new generation of small business owners start and grow their companies. SCORE has been providing the scholarship for several years to a full-time Montclair State student residing in New Jersey who has a 3.5 grade point average or better and is interested in expanding and improving the atmosphere of the business community.
