Football receives NCAA Division III Tournament Berth
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Tournament
bracket has been announced and Montclair State is set to take on the Gators
of Allegheny College in first round action at noon on Saturday, Nov. 22
at Sprague Field. This will be the Red Hawks eighth trip to the NCAA tournament
and seventh for head coach Rick Giancola. Montclair State's last tournament
berth was in 2001.
MVP Ryan Morgan leads men's soccer to ECAC Metro Title
Freshman forward Ryan Morgan scored the only goal of the game at 73:19
of regulation to lead the third-seeded Montclair State University men's
soccer team to a 1-0 victory over fourth-seeded Ramapo College Nov. 16
at Sprague Field on Nov. 16. The win gave Montclair State the 2003 Eastern
College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Championship. It
is MSU's third ECAC title overall, and first since 1993. (Click
