-The Fitness Center will close on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 1:30 p.m. and
the pool will close at 2 p.m. The Fieldhouse will be closed all day Nov.
21 and there will be no open gym. All facilities will resume normal hours
Monday, Nov. 26.
-The Center for Adult Learning has moved to a new location--Morehead
Hall, Room 305--and office hours have been extended to Monday and Thursday
from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-The Campus Ministry Council is sponsoring its 10th annual Thanksgiving
food drive through Nov. 20. The drive is co-sponsored by the Greek Council,
the Student Government Association, Residence Life and ASSIST. Food will
be distributed through MEND (Meeting Emergency Needs with Dignity), an
anti-hunger network serving Essex County for more than 18 years. Donation
boxes are located in Blanton Hall, Bohn Hall, Chapin Hall, Clove Road
Apartments, College Hall, Dickson Hall, Freeman Hall, Mallory Hall, Morehead
Hall, Panzer Gymnasium, Partridge Hall, Richardson Hall, Russ Hall, Sprague
Hall, Stone Hall, the Student Center lobby and Webster Hall.
-Members of the campus community are being asked to cross Normal Avenue
at the corner of College Avenue. A University police officer will be posted
at the corner between 8 and 9 a.m. to facilitate crossing until a cross
walk is installed by Essex County.
- Effective Dec. 1, it will be mandatory to include the area code for
all off-campus calls including local 973 calls. To make an off-campus
call, press 9-1-area code-7-digit number. For more information, call the
office of Telecom Services at 4107 or 7751.
- The Women of Montclair State is holding its annual invitation for membership.
Dues for the 2001-02 year are $10. Dues and other contributions to the
Women of Montclair State provide scholarships to deserving students. To
join the Women of Montclair State, send a check, made payable to the organization,
to Marsha Campbell-Young, Student Center, Room 407.
