Montclair
State is home to 779 international students this year. While two
of them--Alean Haider and Samira Panah from Afghanistan--have
received a lot of media attention since arriving on campus in September

Visiting
scholars offer a world of experience
Every
year Montclair State University hosts approximately 100 visiting
scholars from all over the world, and their reasons for being here

Doctoral
student's time in Ukraine proves to be
a life-changing experience
It's
a long way from Vermont to Upper Montclair, especially when you're
hiking it. And that's exactly how Nathan Brubaker made his way to
campus and ultimately decided it was Montclair State where he wanted

Making
students feel at home
The
Office of International Services (OIS) offers several programs that
promote cultural awareness for both American and international students.
Such programs include Cookies and Culture, the International Buddy
System Program and the new International Living Community. While
geared toward promoting global awareness, all three programs have
fostered friendships that have transcended cultural differences

A
look at international students and study
The
number of international students enrolled at Montclair State in
this semester is 645. The University also provides services to another
134 international students pursuing Practical Training internships
after graduation, bringing the total for the semester to 779. Learn
