- The University Holiday Party will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballrooms.

- There's still time to make a donation to the Toys for Tots Holiday Drive sponsored by the Community Service Advisory Board, the Human Relations Leadership Development Association and the Presidential Leaders Program. All collections will go to the Police Athletic League of Montclair to distribute to area children. Donations of toys or cash will be collected at a table in the Student Center Lobby from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Tuesday, Dec. 10. Donations also can be brought to the Office of Student Leadership Programs, Student Center Annex, Room 104. For more information, call Robert Vincent at 973-655-5485.

-The Spanish and Italian Department will present a performance of a new play by Lidia Falcon, "Vamos a por todas!" on Monday, Dec. 23, at 7 p.m. at Repertoria Español,138 East 27th St., New York, NY. The play provides a satiricial and persuasive scrutiny of the cultural power behind television talk shows. Following the performance, Falcon, one of Spain's most important writers, social critics and feminists, will engage the audience in a discussion about the play. The event is free. - Several Fulbright and Distinguished Visting Scholars will be at Montclair State for the spring semester. Anyone interested in housing international scholars for the semester should call Marina Cunningham at 973-655-7566 or Wendy Gilbert-Simon at 973-655-4185. Wanted are rooms to rent, preferably with a private bath and use of kitchen, or furnished apartments or homes.

- The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra is offering Montclair State students the opportunity to see performances for just $5 per ticket. Performances take place at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark and six other locations throughout the state. Information is available at www.njsymphony.org.
