Celebration of champions...The 2000 Red Hawk baseball team gathered at Yogi Berra Museum recently for the official ring ceremony commemorating its NCAA Division III national championship. Art appreciation...Artist Hugues Fontaine (right) gives MSU President Susan A. Cole some insight about his panoramic photographs on display in the University Art Gallery at the recent opening. Fontaine's exhibit, "Euphrates, a Lost Country," will be on display through March 23.

Students in Lee Lee's Emerging Diseases class probably checked their course catalogs on the first day to make sure they didn't accidentally wander into a current events class. In the general education course, which fulfills the natural/physical sciences requirement, students aren't bogged down trying to remember that the capsid is made up of protein subunits called capsomeres. And instead of textbooks, The New York Times, Newsweek and other news sources, are required reading. Full Story

A Montclair State veteran and an administrator from City University of New York are the University's two newest deans. Ada Beth Cutler has been named dean of the College of Education and Human Services, and Robert Steven Prezant of Plainview, N.Y., is taking over the post for the College of Science and Mathematics.
