Helen Matusow-Ayres of Student Development and Campus Life was featured in Student Affairs Today in the Leaders and Innovators section, with a story about her 23-year career as a student affairs professional.

Huan Feng of Earth and Environmental Studies received $26,958 from the Brookhaven National Laboratory to continue his work on experimental and theoretical investigations of the micro-geometry of geological materials by using synchrotron-based x-ray methods.

Lindsay Gambini of Arts Programming has received $10,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts to support the multi-media theater production based on "Mother Courage and Her Children" from the African-American female's perspective.

Yvette Hall of Academic Advising has her work appearing in Brick City Blues, A "Play" on Words, published by B.A.G. Lady Press.

Bonnie Lustigman of Biology and Molecular Biology received $3,500 for the Science Education for New Civic Engagements summer institute. She led a faculty team to Santa Clara University in California in August. The team received further support from Academic Affairs.

Doris Reavis of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) has been elected treasurer of the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund Professional Association (NJEOFPA) for a two-year term, and Delores McMorrin, also of EOF, has been re-elected as the four-year public sector representative for another term. The NJEOFPA is the official liaison between EOF campus-based programs, the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education and the EOF Board of Directors.

Ruth Bayard Smith of English had her review of String of Pearls: On the News Beat in New York and Paris by Priscilla Buckley published in the May 13 The New York Times.

Michael Zey of Management had excerpts of his book, The Future Factor, published in the May-June issue of The Futurist, in which it appears as the cover story. In addition, Zey was a featured speaker at the World Future Society meeting in Minneapolis this summer. His topic was "The Expansionary Vision of Human Development."
