Montclair State band(s) on the run
 

The Montclair State University Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble will embark on an international tour in May, performing in Russia and Ukraine. For most of the students, this will be their first trip overseas. Performance venues include Moscow and Kiev, as well as Saratov and the University's sister school in Kirovograd.

The bands, under the direction of Mary Ann Craig, and the jazz emsemble, under the direction of Jeffrey Kunkel, have performed at the New Jersey Music Educators Association annual conference. In addition, the Band has released its first CD, "Live On State," has performed world premiere commissioned works by various composers, and has welcomed several internationally renowned soloists and guest composers.
