Summer Sessions 2010

Welcome to Montclair State University Summer Sessions. We provide undergraduate or graduate courses to help you graduate on time, accelerate your degree program, provide flexibility with your schedule, or focus on challenging courses. Students may also explore areas not covered by an existing course in our special topics courses. The course schedule is posted on line in December and is updated as courses are added or dropped. Numerous language courses are also listed in our summer schedule including: American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, French, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.

Montclair State's unique location provides easy access to all that New York City and New Jersey have to offer in the summer. The campus is served by two train stations and an on-campus bus stop that makes it easy to enroll in clases and still enjoy all the region has to offer. Take advantage of what Montclair Township and the surrounding communities have to offer such as the boutiques and eateries, bus service to the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne and bus and train service into New York City within 30 minutes.

MSU students, visiting students from other colleges and universities, including those who have been accepted at other colleges or universities to begin their studies for the next fall term, high achieving high school students and other adults are encouraged to enroll in classes this summer.

Also available are camps for Gifted and Talented, and Global Education programs. Our Summer A to Z Index will lead you to additional information on these programs and more.

On campus housing and dining options are available for all students from May 17 through August 5. MSU students may continue their housing during the last three weeks of August if they reside on campus during the fall semester.

Students who have established eligibility to register for courses will process their registration online using WESS (Web Enrollment Services for Students) once registration opens. Students can register through the first day of the course, as long as the course is open.
