CART: The College of the Arts

CART offers more than 50 majors, minors and concentrations in music, art and design, broadcasting, communication studies, dance, and theatre, leading to careers as practitioners, educators, public servants and managers of the arts. Students study and create with the New York area's finest artist-teachers and internationally renowned guest teachers. CART produces art, dance, music and theatre programs, by students as well as world-famous professionals, in MSU's fully equipped performance and exhibition spaces.

CEHS: The College of Education and Human Services

CEHS carries on MSU's proud history of preparing the finest teachers, and also offers other outstanding programs leading to further study and careers in many fields. CEHS departments are Counseling, Human Development and Educational Leadership; Curriculum and Teaching; Early Childhood, Elementary and Literacy Education; Educational Foundations; Exercise Science and Physical Education, Health and Nutrition Sciences; and Family and Child Studies. All CEHS programs include the opportunity for field-based internships.

CHSS: The College of Humanities and Social Sciences

In the true spirit of liberal arts education, CHSS students follow a focused yet broad-based course of study that affords a solid grounding of general knowledge. CHSS departments include Anthropology, Classics and General Humanities, Communication Sciences and Disorders, English, History, Justice

Studies, Legal Studies, Linguistics, Modern Languages and Literature, Philosophy and Religion, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Spanish and Italian. CHSS confers more degrees than any of the other colleges and schools, and provides the foreign-language and writing courses required for all MSU students.

CSAM: The College of Science and Mathematics

CSAM offers a strong science and mathematics education within an equally strong liberal arts tradition. Undergraduate and graduate students learn by doing - in classrooms, in the state-of-the-art electron microscopy facility, in the new Environmental Modeling Laboratory, and via numerous opportunities for research and for study overseas. CSAM offers a wide range of degrees and programs from genome sequencing to medicine, space exploration to science informatics, geography to geology, aquatic to terrestrial sciences, calculus to computation, environmental management to analytical or organic chemistry to teaching science and mathematics.

SBUS: The School of Business

SBUS graduates are immediately effective in cutting-edge businesses in the modern global economy. Comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs equip students with a full range of business skills plus a specialization in fields from accounting and finance to retailing and international business. SBUS, accredited by the AACSB International, emphasizes excellent teaching, small classes and attention to students' academic, personal and professional development. A distinguished faculty brings experience as researchers and practitioners to their teaching. SBUS centers sponsor conferences, tutorials and other activities linking the School with the regional, national and international business and professional communities.
