The Korean Program offers language courses at all levels, as well as courses on K-pop and popular culture and daily life in Korea. Students will be equipped with the necessary language skills and cultural understanding to further their studies or pursue a career in business, government, education, travel and tourism, interpretation and translation, etc. Students may major in Asian Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Korean or minor in Korean. The Korean courses also count towards the Asian Studies Minor and the Asian Languages Minor. Please see the Korean Program website for more information.

An interdisciplinary major that serves students with strengths and interest in Asian languages and cultures, providing these students with communicative, critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills as well as the intercultural competency that employers seek, enhancing possibilities of working internationally.

Minor in Asian Languages

The 18-credit curriculum provides students with an opportunity to study TWO Asian languages in one program (choosing from Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Students will choose either a Japanese or Chinese concentration, with one of the other two Asian languages counting as a secondary language.
