The 2014 Physics and Art Photo Contest is funded by the Art of Making Science Grant, funded by The American Physical Society.

The 2014 First Place winner was Kathy Solowka, for her photo "Gravity," pictured below:
This year the program was excited to invite the participation of local middle schools, as part of the outreach initiative headed by Dr. Mika Munakata and Dr. Ashwin Vaidya, titled The Art of Making Science, that seeks to engage students in creative work through an exploration of the intersection between science and art. The following Powerpoint document showcases the winners of the 2014 contest. Area schools include:
