Since 2005, the MSU Service-Learning Program has received multiple grants from Bringing Theoy to Practice, and in 2007 was awarded a two-year, $90,000 Bringing Theory to Practice Demonstration Site grant from the Charles Engelhard Foundation
and the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
The MSU Service-Learning Fellows Program was awarded the TIAA-CREF Theodore M. Hesburgh Certificate of Excellence in 2008.
In 2010, the MSU Service-Learning Program was awarded a $35,000 grant from Capital One for a Financial Literacy program.
The new EECO program is funded by a $260,000 grant from the New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service
