Montclair State has more than 250 majors, minors, and concentrations available to undergraduate students that offer not only a wide range of topics to study, but also a high degree of specificity. A full listing of academic programs can be found in the University Catalog.

Majors are offered and administered by the University's six colleges and schools:

Finding Your Place in the World

The Center for Career Services and Cooperative Education at Montclair State helps you find your place in the world: starting right from your freshman year.

Through one-on-one counseling, interest testing, online tools, workshops, internships, and job fairs, the Center helps students focus their interests, explore majors, and apply classroom learning to the workplace. Self-exploration begins in the freshman year, and continues with a year-by-year plan to offer guidance and advice as students seek the right major and career for them.
